United Stock Exchange of India (USE) became the first Indian stock exchange to enter the record books by creating a world record for the largest number of contracts traded by any exchange on the first day of trading.
By the close of trading on day 1, Monday September 20th, the volumes on USE were a staggering $9.88 billion capturing a 52% market share becoming the number one exchange in the currency futures segment. USE maintained this leadership on day 2 also.
No other exchange in the world has traded more than 9.88 million contracts on its first day of trading making this a remarkable feat for Indian capital markets and United Stock Exchange.
USE launched operations in currency futures trading yesterday with 4 currency pairs, namely USDINR, EURINR, JPYINR and GBPINR.
